Bethel women’s tennis defeats Blue Mountain Christian 7-0
McKenzie, Tennessee — The Blue Mountain Christian women’s tennis team lost to Bethel University 7-0 in a nonconference match Tuesday. The Toppers dropped all three doubles matches to fall behind early.
In doubles play, Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos lost 6-1 on the top court, while Lina Cetina and Lucia Garcia were defeated 6-2 in the No. 2 position. Kiersten Terris and Nami Malyaporn finished with a 6-1 result on court three.
During singles, Mordiz was the most competitive, falling 6-0, 6-4 on the top court. Ramos lost 6-1, 6-0, and Cetina pushed her opponent to a tiebreaker, losing 10-4. Malyaporn and Garcia each lost 6-0, 6-3, while Terris was defeated 6-0, 6-0.
Blue Mountain Christian will seek to rebound in its next match, according to the team.
