Blue Mountain Christian Completes Senior Day Sweep Over Rust
Share: Blue Mountain Christian capped its regular season with a dominant sweep of Rust in their final home match. The Toppers honored seniors Luis Lainer and Pablo Cruz before the match for their contributions to the program.
In doubles, Blue Mountain Christian set the tone early, winning all three matches. Adriaan Engelbrecht and Lainer defeated their opponents 6-0 at No. 1 doubles. Cruz and Kevin Kotzé followed with a 6-1 victory, while Caleb Rogers and Craig Blevins completed the sweep with a 6-0 win.
The momentum carried into singles, where the Toppers continued their control. Engelbrecht won 6-1, 6-1; Cruz secured a 6-2, 6-4 victory. Kotzé and Blevins both recorded flawless 6-0, 6-0 sweeps. Shiraam Anbanantan added a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Lainer finished with a 6-3, 6-4 victory.
With the regular season concluded, Blue Mountain Christian will shift focus to the upcoming SSAC Tournament, according to team officials.
