Montgomery, Alabama — Jacob Bryant of Blue Mountain Christian has been named the SSAC Baseball Player of the Week. The award follows a standout performance during a three-game conference series against Brewton-Parker Christian.
Bryant went 6-for-14 at the plate, posting a .429 batting average. He hit five extra-base hits, including three home runs, and drove in multiple runs. His slugging percentage for the series was 1.214, with a total of 17 bases.
The junior infielder’s power and consistency helped energize the Blue Mountain Christian offense throughout the weekend. His timely hitting and home runs created scoring opportunities and contributed to the team’s efforts in the conference matchup.
Head Coach Taylor Clark praised Bryant’s performance, saying, “Jacob had a tremendous weekend for us. He was locked in at the plate and consistently gave us quality at-bats. When a hitter is seeing the ball that well and driving it the way he did, it energizes the entire lineup. We’re proud of the way he competed and represented our program.”
