Blue Mountain Women’s Tennis Falls to Mobile in SSAC Match
The Blue Mountain Christian University women’s tennis team was defeated by the University of Mobile Rams 7-0 in a Southern States Athletic Conference match in Montgomery, Alabama, on Friday morning.
In doubles play, the Toppers battled but were unable to secure a point. Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos lost 6-3 on the top court, while Lina Cetina and Lucia Garcia also fell 6-3 on court two. Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris completed doubles with a 6-2 loss on court three.
Continuing with singles, Mordiz fought hard but lost in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, on the No. 1 court. Cetina dropped her match 6-1, 6-4. Garcia was defeated 6-1, 6-0, on court three. Malyaporn fell 6-2, 6-2, on court four, while Ramos lost 6-0, 6-3, on court five. Terris completed the lineup with a 6-0, 6-1 loss on court six.
The Toppers will continue their conference schedule at the SSAC Roundup, aiming to gain experience and momentum against strong competition, according to team officials.
