Blue Mountain Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 5 William Carey at SSAC Roundup
The Blue Mountain Christian University women’s tennis team closed out the SSAC Roundup in Montgomery, Alabama, with a 7-0 loss to No. 5 William Carey on Saturday, according to the school.
The Toppers faced a strong opponent in one of the nation’s top programs. In doubles play, Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos lost 1-6 on the No. 1 court, while Lina Cetina and Lucia Garcia were defeated 2-6 on the No. 2 court. Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris also fell 2-6 in their match.
In singles, Mordiz was defeated 0-6, 0-6, on the top court. Cetina lost 2-6, 1-6, and Garcia fell 0-6, 0-6. Malyaporn was edged 3-6, 1-6, and Ramos lost 0-6, 1-6. Terris completed the lineup with a 0-6, 1-6, decision.
The match marked the end of Blue Mountain’s participation at the SSAC Roundup. The team will continue its conference schedule this season, according to the school.
