Mobile, Alabama – Blue Mountain Christian’s women’s golf team finished fourth overall at the Ram Spring Invite, held in Mobile, Alabama, with standout play from junior Morgan Dabbs. Dabbs finished second individually after three steady rounds.
Dabbs opened the tournament with a 75 and shot identical scores of 75 in the second and third rounds, finishing with a total of 225. Her consistent play kept her among the tournament leaders throughout the event, according to the team’s coach, Kevin Barefield.
The Toppers also received solid contributions from other players. Erin Porter finished 23rd after rounds of 84, 85, and 82 for a total of 251. Abby Gattis tied for 24th with scores of 84, 84, and 86, totaling 254. Abby Moore placed 31st with rounds of 94, 93, and 91, finishing at 278. Adina Ataullah added a score of 280, finishing 33rd after rounds of 94, 94, and 92.
“Morgan played really steady golf all three rounds and showed great composure throughout the tournament,” Barefield said. “Seeing her compete at that level and stay consistent from start to finish was impressive. I’m proud of the entire group for the way they competed and supported one another this week.”
The team looks to continue building momentum as the spring schedule progresses, according to the coach.
