Columbus, Mississippi — The Blue Mountain Christian University women’s tennis team delivered a dominant performance Tuesday, sweeping Mississippi University for Women in a 7-0 victory. The Toppers secured the win with decisive wins in both doubles and singles play.
Blue Mountain Christian quickly took control in doubles, earning the point with strong performances across all three matches. Camila Mordiz and Eugenia Ramos led the way with a 6-1 victory at No. 1 doubles. Lina Cetina and Lucia Rodriguez Garcia matched that score at No. 2, while Nami Malyaporn and Kiersten Terris completed the sweep with a 6-0 shutout at No. 3.
The Toppers carried their momentum into singles, winning all six matches in straight sets. Mordiz claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1 singles, and Cetina followed with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at No. 2. Eugenia Ramos added a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 3, while Rodriguez Garcia defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-0 at No. 4. Malyaporn and Terris completed the sweep with perfect 6-0, 6-0 wins at Nos. 5 and 6 singles, respectively.
