Life University tops Blue Mountain Christian in SSAC basketball game

Blue Mountain Christian’s men’s basketball team fell to Life University 89-63 in an SSAC game at Tyler Gymnasium. Both teams played with intensity from the start, exchanging baskets and defensive stops early in the contest. Life gradually pulled away with consistent scoring throughout the game.

In the opening minutes, the Toppers executed well offensively, attacking the rim and creating scoring opportunities. Jonathan Baker provided an early spark for Blue Mountain Christian, hitting three three-pointers and energizing the offense. Gavin Shannon also contributed with transition baskets and strong drives to the basket, keeping the Toppers engaged.

In the second half, Life maintained control with balanced scoring, but Blue Mountain Christian continued to compete on every possession. Shannon led the Toppers with 21 points, adding two steals and providing leadership on both ends. Baker finished with 15 points, while Michael Hill scored 12. Esrael Yant added 10 points and four rebounds for the Toppers.

The team showed effort and ball movement throughout the game. Blue Mountain Christian will travel to Tuscaloosa on Tuesday to face Stillman College, according to team sources.
