Six Blue Mountain Christian University Student-Athletes Named NAIA Winter Scholar-Athletes
Kansas City, Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced the 2025-26 winter sports Scholar-Athletes, including six from Blue Mountain Christian University. The recognition honors student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically during the semester.
To qualify, students must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on their sport’s eligibility certificate, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. The list includes athletes from sports such as basketball, bowling, cheer, dance, swimming and diving, and wrestling.
Blue Mountain Christian University’s six recipients are Isabella Carlson, Jacob Hinton, Kathryn Echols, Lindsey Murr, Maddie Kirk, and Rebecca Walter. BMCU Athletic Director Curt Fowler praised their accomplishments, emphasizing their dedication and character. “We are incredibly proud of these student-athletes for the commitment they have shown to excellence in every area of their lives,” he said. “Their discipline, character, and dedication reflect the mission of Blue Mountain Christian University Athletics — developing young men and women into leaders in the classroom and beyond.”
