Stillman defeats Blue Mountain Christian in non-conference game
Tuscaloosa, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian’s men’s basketball team traveled to Tuscaloosa on Thursday night and lost to Stillman College 86-70. Despite a competitive effort, the Toppers couldn’t keep pace with the host Tigers’ offensive production.
Senior Gavin Shannon led Blue Mountain Christian with 29 points, including 11 rebounds, and was active throughout the first half. Esrael Yant contributed 16 points and 10 rebounds, providing inside presence. Jonathan Baker added 17 points for the Toppers, helping them stay within striking distance early in the game.
The Toppers displayed grit and effort against a well-executed opponent. With strong individual performances from Shannon, Yant, and Baker, Blue Mountain Christian demonstrated resilience and talent as the season progresses.
