William Carey tops Blue Mountain Christian in SSAC basketball game
Hattiesburg, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian traveled on the road Friday night to face William Carey in Southern States Athletic Conference play. The Toppers showed offensive rhythm and resilience but ultimately lost 111-89 in a fast-paced game.
William Carey built early momentum with its tempo and scoring depth, establishing a lead. Blue Mountain Christian responded with stretches of efficient offense, moving the ball well and attacking the basket aggressively. Despite the deficit, the Toppers remained competitive on both ends, stringing together runs and battling on the boards in a challenging environment.
Offensively, Blue Mountain Christian shot 48.5% from the field and 45.8% from three-point range. The team also created opportunities at the free-throw line and focused on limiting second chances for the Crusaders.
