Cougars defeat Wildcats to advance at TCT
For the 2nd year in a row, the Blue Mountain Cougar defeated the Walnut Wildcats in the opening round of the Tippah County Tournament.
Blue Mountain advanced with a 63-38 victory.
The Wildcats held tough through the first quarter with the Cougars pulling away in the 2nd quarter, ending the half with Jaden Hall being fouled on a buzzer beater attempt.
The 2nd half saw the Cougars start connecting on their three point attempts and pulling away. Blue Mountain made 7 second half three pointers.
DeShawn Tyler led BM with 20 points. Jaden Hall had 17. Brantley Porterfield led Walnut with 12.
The Cougars move on to face Ripley on Friday.
