Pine Grove headed to playoffs as the young Panthers defeat Blue Mountain
Pine Grove is playing a lot of youth this season, the most during head coach Jake Walker’s tenure leading the Panthers.
Those young players will have a few more games to mature after their win Tuesday over Blue Mountain.
Pine Grove got 20 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists from freshman Carson Rowland to lead the Panthers to a 51-45 victory over Blue Mountain. The win guarantees Pine Grove at least 3 more games this season.
The Panthers got 6 crucial three pointers on the night, including a pair from 8th grader Jack Hudson, and played well in transition to secure the victory.
The loss ended Blue Mountain’s season. The Cougars were led in the game by Deshawn Tyler’s 13 points Trent Gray contributed 12 while Wendell Cox finished with 10.
Pine Grove moves on to face Biggersville at 8:30 on Thursday.
