Falkner unveils potent new offensive attack
The wait is over and Falkner has shown the first glimpse of its revamped 2018 offense. It did not disappoint.
First year starter Lane Elliott looked poised in the pocket, sliding away from pressure and hitting his check downs. But the real show is when Falkner gets the ball in the hands of their playmakers.
There was a toss sweep for a touchdown by Elijah Moore. Devastating open field moves in space by up and coming sophomore TJ Colom. A 70 yard touchdown grab on a jump ball from newcomer Chauncey Jackson. A great seal off high point catch from Cody Johnson and a 17 yard touchdown to speedster Riley Akers.
The offense definitely turned heads and earned praise from the opposing team.
“They (Falkner) are going to win some games this year,” a member of the Booneville chain gang told me.
If their offense plays with the same level of explosiveness and the defense continues their gritty style, the Eagles will definitely make some noise this year.
