Ripley softball picks up division split with victory over New Albany, loss to Senatobia
The Ripley Lady Tigers picked up a division win this week and lost a closer than the score indicated contest.
On Tuesday Ripley took out rival New Albany 6-3. Sophomore Reagan Hall had 3 hits in the contest while Senior Caitlin Willingham had a pair of hits. Sophomore Taryn Clark scattered 2 hits, giving up 1 run and striking out 3 for the win.
The Lady Tigers lost on Thursday night 11-4 to Senatobia in a contest that wasn’t decided until the final innings. Willingham had a pair of doubles and 2 RBI and sophomore Shelby Copeland added 2 hits and a double. Clark had 8 K’s and only allowed 3 Earned Runs in taking the loss.
Ripley is back in action on Friday against Alcorn Central.
