RMS middle school sweeps New Albany, JV gets TD to tie as time expires
Ripley came away from their season opening matchup agains rival New Albany in Middle School and Junior Varsity action undefeated, with stellar defense and big plays ruling the day.
Each squad only gave up a single touchdown to the Bulldogs from down south.
In Middle School action, the RMS 7th grade squad came away with a 14-6 victory.
The RMS 8th grade squad had the most impressive showing of the night, picking up a 20-6 victory.
Things looked bleak for the JV Tigers, as they were down 6-0 with only one minute to play in the ball game, needing 84 yards to score.
They got just that, getting the tying touchdown as time expired. A missed 2 point conversion attempt kept the score at 6-6.
