Blue Mountain Christian softball sweeps doubleheader against U.S. Sports University

Blue Mountain Christian softball earned a doubleheader sweep against U.S. Sports University on Friday at home. The Toppers won 8–6 in the opener and 8–0 in the nightcap, combining timely hitting and steady pitching.

In the first game, Blue Mountain Christian led multiple times but had to hold off a rally from U.S. Sports University. The Toppers finished with 10 hits and scored in six different innings. Kelsey Camp went 4-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Maryn Macri added two hits, including a double, and drove in two runs. Offensive contributions came from Anna Harrison, Aspen Teague, Karen Wisher, and Laklyn Nichols.

Gail Wisher pitched the full seven innings, allowing six runs while fending off multiple rallies. Her performance helped secure the win for the Toppers.

The momentum carried into the second game, where Blue Mountain Christian dominated offensively and defensively. The Toppers scored six runs in the third inning and finished with eight runs on eight hits. They played clean defense behind strong pitching, limiting U.S. Sports University’s offensive opportunities.
