Blue Mountain Christian Women’s Golf Finishes 12th at Coastal Georgia Winter Invite

St. Simons Island, Georgia — The Blue Mountain Christian women’s golf team finished 12th at the Coastal Georgia Winter Invite, held on a par-72 course measuring 5,963 yards. The tournament featured several top-ranked NAIA programs, including No. 1 Keiser, No. 6 SCAD Savannah, No. 9 Southeastern, No. 14 Embry-Riddle, and No. 17 Coastal Georgia, along with other schools receiving votes, according to the school.

Morgan Dabbs led the Toppers, tying for 45th place with rounds of 84 and 78 for a total of 162. She improved by six strokes in the second round, demonstrating resilience against elite competition. Abby Gattis tied for 54th after rounds of 79 and 88 for a total of 167. Erin Porter finished tied for 60th with rounds of 90 and 81, totaling 171, with a nine-stroke improvement in the final round. Abby Moore tied for 64th after rounds of 84 and 88 for a total of 172. Adina Ataullah finished 79th with rounds of 97 and 92, ending at 189.

Head coach Kevin Barefield emphasized the importance of the experience. “This was a great opportunity for our women to measure themselves against some of the best teams in the country,” he said. “We saw growth throughout the tournament, especially with how we responded in the second round. Competing in fields like this prepares us for what’s ahead, and I’m proud of the way our players represented Blue Mountain.”

Facing top-tier opponents on a championship-caliber course, the Toppers gained valuable experience and continued building momentum as the season progresses, according to school officials.
