Falkner kept themselves in contention for a first round division tournament bye with a 67-42 victory over Hickory Flat on Tuesday.
The victory was highlighted by sopmore Cam Smith’s first in-game slam dunk and this halfcourt buzzer beater by Cody Johnson.
The win moved the Eagles to 14-10 on the season (2-3). They have a huge away district game against West Union that has tournament seeding implications.
Smith led all scorers with 18. Chauncey Jackson added 14 and nine Eagles in all scored.
In girls action, the Lady Eagles fell to division leading Hickory Flat 74-30.
