Falkner volleyball looks to take another step forward after showing improvement in first year as a program
Falkner showed steady signs of improvement throughout their first year as a volleyball program in 2019 and they look to continue that growth through 2020.
The Lady Eagles bring back several key pieces from a season ago and they have a year of experience to grow from, so improvement is not just a hope for the Lady Eagles but an expectation.
Falkner will have four Seniors taking the court in 2020, all of which saw court time in 2019, in Ava Palmer, Logan Hopkins, Hanna Ramer, and Dixee Drewery.
“As a senior, my goal for this year as a team would be for us to work on our weaknesses from last season and continue the improvement that started at the end of the season last year,” Palmer said of her expectations for the season.
Laney Crawford, a 2019 Tippah County Sports All County Volleyball member, returns as the most experienced member of the Lady Eagle squad. She is the primary setter for Falkner and led the team in service aces a season ago.
Look for Isabell Wilson, Harley Garner and Alyvia Floyd to be key contributors for the Lady Eagles in 2020 as well.
They will compete in district play against Pine Grove, Biggersville and Baldwyn in 2020.
Falkner opens the 2020 season against West Union on August 25th. See the complete Lady Eagle schedule below.
