Ripley boys and girls face must win games at Region tournament to keep season alive

The season for the Tigers and Lady Tigers have went along a similar trajectory.

The Tigers are 16-9 on the year and 6-4 in Region play. The Lady Tigers are 18-8 on the year and 6-4 in Region play.

Both teams are the #3 seed. Both teams must win at least their opening match in the distric tournament to advance in to the playoffs.

And both teams are dangerous once they get into those playoffs.

The Ripley girls take on Houston at 4 on Tuesday to cement their place in the playoffs.

The boys take on North Pontotoc immediately after that game to do the same.

If the girls win, they take on South Pontotoc. Should the boys win, they take on long time rival New Albany.

The region 2-4A tournament will be played at Pontotoc.
