Ripley boys claim Holiday tournament title
Ripley boys got convincing wins over Independence on Friday and Aberdeen on Saturday to claim the Ripley Holiday tournament trophy.
On Friday, Ripley used a swarming defensive effort in the first quarter to hold the Wildcats to just 3 points and got a hot hand from playmaker Cam Rucker to win 58-34.
On Saturday in the championship, ripley found themselves in a dogfight early as they only led 7-6 after one. Coach Adam Kirk went to his second unit for a spark and they produced results led by big man TJ Storey. The Tigers won going away 56-28 with a dominating second half.
The win moved the Tigers to 13-1 on the season. They are in action at the tippah county tournament next week.
