Ripley Middle School Tigers win slugfest against New Albany to advance at 5 county
Ripley won a defensive slugfest against New Albany on Wednesday night by a score of 27-17 to advance to the semifinals of the 5 County Tournament at NEMCC.
Ripley and New Albany combined for just 25 points through three quarters before a flurry of buckets in the fourth quarter helped the Tigers pull away.
The Tigers never trailed against New Albany and used stellar defense to secure the win.
Ripley was led by Seth Thomas with 12 points, including 8 crucial points late to secure the victory.
The Tigers play Baldwyn at 7:30 on Friday.
