Ripley Tiger baseball player signs baseball scholarship with EMCC

Ripley Tiger senior baseball Will Long signed a baseball scholarship with East Mississippi Community College in Scooba, MS. The Tigers had a ceremony for him at the Ripley Event Center with his family and teammates on Tuesday.

Long had an impressive junior season that saw him make the all county and all division team. He hit .293 last season with 4 homers, 18 RBI’s and a .507 slugging %. On top of his bat, Long was the teams closer on the mound where he had 6 saves and a sub-1 ERA.

Will joined teammate Ben Fryar in signing a baseball scholarship this fall. Fryar signed with ICC last month.
