Ripley’s Lexi Page becomes first Tippah volleyball player to sign college scholarship
Ripley’s Lexi Page becomes first Tippah County volleyball player to sign college scholarship after she inked with Northwest Missisisppi Community College on Wednesday.
Page, a senior Outside Hitter, is a multi year starter for the Lady Tigers. She was a member of the Tippah County Sports All County Volleyball team and the SportsMississippi.com All North Half team in 2020.
“Lexi has been a leader on the court for us the last two years. I am excited to see her progress to the next level,” Ripley Head Coach Greg Dillard said of the Page signing.
Page is headed to a Northwest program that is in their first year and head Coach of the Lady Rangers Allyson Burchyett is set on building the program with the best local talent around.
“I am really excited to have Lexi join our program next year. She will bring great athleticism and work ethic to NWCC. North Mississippi has great high school volleyball teams and the level of play continues to improve every year,” NWCC coach Burchyett said of signing Page.
Lexi was a force on the court for Ripley in 2020, leading the team with 204 kills to go along with 45 aces, 17 blocks and 106 digs.
