Jacksonville, Ala. — Blue Mountain Christian University opened its 2026 men’s cross country season Friday at the Foothills Trail Meet, hosted by Jacksonville State University. The Toppers finished ninth among 17 teams in their first race of the year.
Senior Lukas Dykes paced Blue Mountain Christian, finishing 47th overall with a time of 16:36.7. Junior Jonah Barnhardt was the second Topper across the line, placing 66th in 17:08.9.
Freshmen Samuel Aguilar and Layn Burney finished in 78th and 80th places, with times of 17:32.4 and 17:38.9, respectively. Senior Erick Flores set a personal best with a time of 17:51.4, finishing 88th. Senior Braxton Enzor placed 98th in 18:13.7.
Other Topper finishers included freshman Jacob Waller in 102nd (18:22.6), freshman Austin Ellis in 119th (19:00.8), senior Lelan Boulden in 126th (19:13.8), junior John Thomas Draper in 141st (20:47.8), and freshman Samuel Hutchinson in 145th (21:07.7).
