Lady Wildcats pick up 4th straight victory with win over Jumpertown

The Walnut Lady Wildcats picked up their fourth straight win on Thursday to move back to even on the season after dropping the first 4 games of the season.

The Lady Cats defeated the visiting Jumpertown Lady Cardinals 59-43.

Walnut went up 12-4 in the first quarter and never trailed in the game as they moved to 4-4 on the season.

The Lady Wildcats got 24 points and 10 rebounds from freshman Madi-Kate Vuncannon and 14 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 steals from Claire Leake.

Walnut has several more games out of district to iron out all of their kinks before getting in to the games that really matter.

On the boys side, Walnut fell to 63-52 as they are still looking for their first win of the season.

Brantley Porterfield led with 20 points, AJ Crum contributed 11.
