Ripley, Walnut participate in Ripley summer basketball event

The Ripley Tigers and Walnut Wildcats joined teams from all across north Mississippi participating in the summer league basketball event.

Ripley used stellar half court defense and exceptional ball movement to really stand out amongst the team competing. That’s a testament to Head Coach Adam Kirk and the job he has done at Ripley.

Walnut again was led by Khris Perry’s athleticism and Kevin Hurley controlling the paint. Hurley’s improvement from last season to this season is one of the key stories to watch in Tippah county basketball this year.
