Falkner opens division play against Potts Camp

Eagles look to get back in the win column

After back to back non-division losses, Falkner Coach Quess Hood hopes the Eagles can get back on track. A sure fire way to do that is depend on the talent of seniors Autry Windham and Alex Caldwell. Both have had good starts to their seasons against opponents from larger classifications. And those teams have been able to key in of those two.

For Falkner to make some noise in division play, keyed in or not, those two are going to have to carry the load. Luckily for Coach Hood, he has two capable players ready to do so.

The “real season” starts now

After a big opening season victory, the Eagles have suffered back to back losses over Walnut in the Joe Bowl and Marshall Academy. They cannot focus on these games. They must focus on the task of winning their division games.

With playmakers all over the field and a quarterback with the ability to get the ball to them like Windham, the eagles are going to try to put up a lot of points against Potts Camp, who enters the game with the same record as Falkner (1-2). Both teams are very capable of scoring points and this could turn in to a high scoring affair.

Prediction

Falkner must maintain their focus and their defense needs to be prepared to come out aggresive to stop Potts Camp potentially explosive offense. I think the Eagles are capable of just that.

Falkner 44- Potts Camp 21
