Lady Panthers continue district dominance with 4th straight title

The Lady Panthers found themselves in a familiar place Friday night, lifting the district tournament championship trophy with a 56-22 win over Jumpertown.

Familiarity is sometimes confused with being common. And, for all the accolades the Pine Grove Lady Panthers have put together over the last four years, they are anything but common.

Take, for example, the fact that they have won 46 consecutive district games over the last four years, their last loss coming in 2016, a 47-44 loss to Jumpertown.

Or the fact that over that time frame their average margin of victory over district opponents is nearly 40 points with an average final score of 62-24.

It was just another day at the office for the Lady Panthers where their job consists of two things: give maximum effort every play and do your job to the best of your ability.

The Lady Panthers run over the last four years has been anything but common. Friday night was another stepping stone to a bigger goal, one that is not spoken about or taken lightly around the Pine Grove program.

The next step towards that bigger goal comes at home against a quality first round opponent in West Union, a familiar and dangerous opponent.

The Lady Panthers have another chance at avoiding being common.

Another chance on their march to being great.
