Pine Grove gets district split against Jumpertown as girls stay undefeated in league
Pine Grove got a split against division rival Jumpertown in the battle for Dry Creek on Monday night. The girls got a resounding victory and the boys came up just short.
In girls action, the Lady Panthers raced out to a 29-1 first quarter lead and never looked back en route to a 71-16 victory.
The Lady Panthers have now held their last three division opponents to under 17 points total.
Since Katie Bates took over the Pine Grove program in 2013 the Lady Panthers are 38-4 in division. They have are 25-1 the last three seasons.
In boys action, the Panthers fell 65-44 to move to 4-3 in division play, 5-14 overall.
Pine Grove took a season split with the cardinals after having beat them earlier in the season.
Both teams are in action against Wheeler Friday night.
