Blue Mountain boys and girls have punched ticket to playoffs as they are set to host district

Blue Mountain has turned in a great season so far in boys and girls basketball.

In fact, the Blue Mountain squads have already combined for the most combined wins in school history with 37. Those wins have translated to both teams being eligible for the 1A playoffs.

The good news keeps coming for the squads from South Tippah, as they host the district tournament starting Tuesday with a chance to make a run into the playoffs.

The girls, 21-4 on the year, will take on the winner of the Ashland/Coldwater contest on Thursday at 4.

The boys, `16-9 on the season, get Hickory Flat on Thursday at 8:30.

Blue Mountain is the only team with a district tournament game at home, so go out and support them starting on Thursday.
