Falkner boys continue to improve, take out Tremont 62-49
The Falkner Eagles lost to Tremont last season by a score of 72-37. The Eagles played most of last season using mostly freshmen and sophomores.
Those young players from last year have grown up and added some new faces, including a new coach.
The results?
The making of a much improved, dangerous team.
Falkner came away with a 62-49 victory Saturday night in their home opener, led by Cody Johnson’s 13 points off the bench. Chauncey Jackson added 12, including a rim rattling 3rd quarter dunk, and Cam Smith chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds.
The Eagles are 2-1 on the season and were ranked #7 in the state for 1A in Magnolia hoops preseason poll.
Falkner takes on Pine Grove in an in-county rivalry matchup.
