Pine Grove baseball ranked among states best after picking up pair of wins over Falkner

The Pine Grove Panthers have won games in all sorts of ways this year.

They’ve picked up come back wins. Extra inning wins. Slugfests. Pitching duels.

Their efforts haven’t gone unnoticed statewide as they were ranked as the 5th best team in 1A statewide this week by at least one statewide competition.

More importantly, the diamond Panthers picked up a pair of key division wins over Falkner this week, 17-0 on Tuesday and 5-3 on Friday, to move to 3-0 in division play.

The Panthers are back in action on Saturday against Myrtle as they try to avenge an earlier season loss to the Hawks. First pitch scheduled for 11 am at Myrtle.
