Lady Tigers jump out to big lead and cruise to second round of playoffs
Ripley can score points in bunchers. They also are known throughout the state as a lock down defensive team.
Both of those aspects of their game were on full display on Tuesday.
The Lady Tigers jumped out to a 21-0 lead in their first round matchup against Yazoo City and rolled to a 72-37 victory.
The Lady Tigers got strong post play from Siarra Jackson, shot the ball well and created 27 turnovers on the night.
Siarra Jackson led Ripley with 17 points. Amelya Hatch added 11.
The win sets up a rematch from last years state title game as Lousiville comes to Ripley on Friday.
Tip off for that contest is set for 6 pm at the Ripley Event Center.
