Lady Tigers open season with three big wins as they look to take step forward
Ripley is looking to build on their success from last season, when they were in the playoff picture until the last games of the season.
If the way they have started 2020 is any indication, the Lady Tigers are on track to do just that.
With a team that returns 9 starters from a season ago, Ripley could be dangersous.
Ripley has opened with a trio of convincing wins this season, outscoring their first three opponents by a combined 32-4.
Junior Taryn Clark, a multi year starter on the mound, has won all three contests and has struck out 18 batters along the way.
Clark also leads the club with 6 RBI’s. Janna Johnson has started the season on a tear, picking up 7 hits in her first 9 at-bats, including 5 doubles. 7th grader Allyson Christmas is sporting a perfect on base position on the year to go along with 7 runs scored.
The Lady Tigers are back in action Thursday at Booneville as they look to continue their winning ways.
