Ripley pitcher Taryn Clark signs to play softball at Mississippi Delta
After picking up multiple offers to continue her softball career after her Junior season, Ripley standout Taryn Clark had a decision to make on where she would take the next step as a player.
On Friday, she made it official. She will be attending Mississippi Delta Community College.
Clark, a mult-year starter and member of the Tippah County Sports all county softball team for multiple years, had committed to MDCC last month.
In a shortened season last year, Clark was off to a hot start at the plate as she was batting .435 with a pair of triples and a home run. On the mound, she had struck out 27 batters.
For her career, Taryn is approaching 400 career strikeouts as a pitcher. She has been in the top-6 in season strikeouts in the state twice in her career.
