Talladega tops Blue Mountain Christian Women’s Soccer 4-0

Blue Mountain, Miss. — Blue Mountain Christian Women’s Soccer hosted Talladega College on Saturday in a non-conference game at The Summit. The Tornadoes scored three goals in the second half to secure a 4-0 win.

Blue Mountain kept the game close in the first half, trailing 1-0 at halftime. The Toppers attempted to equalize but were unable to find the net. Nayelli Aguayo and Maria Eduarda Koespel each recorded two shots on goal for Blue Mountain. Krisslyn Boyles also registered a shot for the Toppers.

Kiana Gordon played all 90 minutes in goal, making eight saves, including five in the first half. Talladega added three goals in the second half to extend their lead and cement the victory.

The match marked Blue Mountain’s return to action at The Summit. The teams will continue their seasons in upcoming fixtures.
