Falkner uses fourth quarter scores to down Potts Camp
Falkner found itself in a dog fight against division foe Potts Camp on Friday and they needed big plays late to come away with the victory.
Enter senior running back Elijah Moore.
Moore broke runs of 36 and 19 yards late in the fourth quarter to seal the 44-36 win.
“Great team win. Both teams fought hard,” Moore said.
Quarterback Lane Elliott, who completed 8 of 13 passes for 165 yards and 3 scores while rushing for 41 yards and a score and he too cane away singing the praises of the late game heroics of Moore.
“Elijah is the player of the game. He ran hard on a sprained ankle. All around great team win,” the senior signal caller said.
Elliott threw touchdown passes to Zion Grizzard, Chauncey Jackson and Riley Akers.
The Eagles were led by Ryan Caviness on defense who put in 16 tackles from his linebacker position.
The Eagles are at home for homecoming this week against HW Byers.
