Multiple scholarship offers have started to come in for Walnut football standout TJ Colom
Multiple college football scholarship offers have started to come in for rising Senior TJ Colom of Walnut. The playmaker for the Wildcats announced he had earned his first offer on May 10th and since then he has accumulated six total offers.
Colom, a two time all state selection, has made the All County and All Division team each of the last three seasons, including being the Tippah County Sports Offensive MVP the last two years and Co-MVP last season.
His first offer came in from Culver Stockton, announced on May 10th.
Since then, he has picked up offers from Carthage, Baldwin Wallace, St Johns and Norwich. His most recent offer was from Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Colom is looking forward to getting back on the field with his team this summer after missing out on Spring practice and games due to COVID-19.
“It all starts June 1st. I am ready to step up and be a leader on this team as a senior. We have set our goals for this season and it all starts next week for us to achieve them,” Colom said.
“I want to thank Coach Meeks and Coach Bennett for pushing me and my teammates for helping me achieve my goals on the field. I am ready to get back after it and I know they all are too,” he added.
Colom accounted for over 2500 all purpose yards last season and 28 touchdowns. In his career so far he has accumulated 5500 all purpose yards and 55 touchdowns.
