Tippah County athlete in running for statewide player of the week

A Tippah County Student athlete is in the running for statewide player of the week and they need your help by voting for them to win.

Walnut’s Madi Kate Vuncannon is nominated after she put up 25 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in a 55-49 win over Hickory Flat.

Each week’s winner will receive a ticket in his or her name for the Clarion Ledger Sports Awards banquet in the spring.

Voting is open until 2 p.m. Thursday.
