North Tippah students who choose online learning this year will not be eligible for athletics while South Tippah students are

Students in the North Tippah School district have the option of either traditional in person learning or a hybrid online learning model.

Those students who opt for the hybrid model will not be eligible to participate in school athletics.

The school district has the following posted in their release of options for students this school year:

Some elective courses and opportunities may not be offered to full-time
hybrid learning students. For example, extracurricular activities such as
athletics and fine arts will not be available to students who choose hybrid.

Students in South Tippah will be eligible for athletic competition if they chose an online learning model, according to their back to school plan.:

Students that are actively enrolled in the Distance learning option are eligible for extra-curricular activities based on MDE and MHSAA’s
guidance.
