Ripley shows off strong defense, big play offense in jamboree

The Ripley Tigers has a good showing in their opening season Meet the Tigers Jamboree, using strong defense and several big plays down the field in a matchup against a solid team from Water Valley.

“We were excited to get some game action in. Our guys were ready for something besides practice,” coach Sam Hathorn said.

The Tigers new look offends featuring Quarterback Tristan Vandiver spreading the ball out to playmakers like Jey Johnson and Trey Blanchard looks like it could give teams fits this year.

Couple that with a gritty, get after the ball defense and senior leadership and Ripley could turn some heads this year.
