Tippah County athlete in running for statewide player of the week
A Tippah County Student Athlete is in the running for the statewide player of the week.
Loren Elliott, who was recognized for scoring her 2000th point as a Pine Grove Lady Panther, is up for honor from the Clarior Ledger.
Elliott led her team with 32 points in an 84-46 win over Jumpertown to earn the nomination.
Each week’s winner will receive a ticket in his or her name for the Clarion Ledger Sports Awards banquet in the spring.
Voting is open until 2 p.m. Thursday.
