Former Walnut standout makes it official, signs with Rutgers

Former Walnut Wildcat and Northwest Ranger Monterio made it official and signed with Rutgers.

Hunt picked up a scholarship offer and subsequently committed last month.

His committment came while he had offers from several other college programs.

Rutgers competes in the Big 10 in the same division as Michigan, Michigan State, Penn State and Ohio State.

Hunt started all 10 games for Northwest this season, catching 41 passes for 405 yards, a 9.9 YPC average. He caught 3 TD on the season.
