Putting up big first half number is nothing new to the Walnut Wildcats.
After putting up 42 points in last weeks big win over Alcorn Central, Walnut followed that up with 43 in the first half en route to a 65-32 win over Middleton on Friday night.
The Wildcats got the scoring started with a TJ Colom 9 yard plunge 2 minutes into the game.
Colom got the 2nd of his 4 rushing touchdowns to go with 240 yards on 12 carries 2 minutes later, followed by a TJ Luellen 2 point conversion, and the route was one.
Luellen ended up with 100 yards of offense and a score. Brandon Shield caught his 3rd touchdown reception of the season.
Walnut moved to 3-1 on the season. They are back in action next against Myrtle.
