Pine Grove moving up to 2A in newest MHSAA classifications

The Pine Grove Panthers and Lady Panthers will find themselves in a new district and classification starting in 2021.

According to the new MHSAA classification system, they will compete in 2A.

Pine Grove has spent the last several years in the 1-1A classification in athletics.

This will be the first time in school history that Pine Grove has been in 2A.

According to the MHSAA, they have 190 students in their 9-12 grade, making them the smallest 2A program in the state.
