Lady Panthers open quest for 3-peat with home victory
Pine Grove opened their quest for a state championship 3-peat with a convincing win over Myrtle on Monday, racing out to a lead early and closing the game strong for a 74-33 victory.
The Lady Panthers got 8 early points from Karlie Rogers who finished with a game high 17.
“Karlie was agressive early and that kind of set the pace for us,” Coach Katie Bates said of last year’s state championship game MVP.
The Lady Panthers got 16 points from Taylor Fletcher and 13 from Loren Elliott to round out the double digit scorers.
Pine Grove is back home Friday night against Shaw. Tip off is set for 7 pm.
