Pine Grove Lady Panthers putting in work during summer league
The Lady Panthers of Pine Grove are getting a look at several new faces during summer league action.
Coach Katie Bates hopes these summer minutes for her younger players coupled with increased roles for some of her returning players will pay dividends for this upcoming season.
Pine Grove graduated two key contributors in Taylor Fletcher and Jessi Mauney and are without multi-year starters Karlie Rogers and Loren Elliott this summer.
That has paved the way for returning contributors Kenzie Miller and Brianna Baggett to be counted on for increased contributions. But the bulk of the scoring load this summer has been left to senior Bella Jumper, who has looked poised as a #1 option during summer contests.
Gaining significant minutes this summer have been Ellie Fryar and Sydney Carter as they will be looked upon for quality minutes as the Lady Panthers make a push for an unprecedented 4th straight state championship.
